Roni Size, A.Skillz, The Nextmen, Monki and Marshall Jefferson confirmed to play Leopallooza XII!

Joining the line-up so far, which includes Kelis, St Paul and The Broken Bones, Ratboy and The Go! Team, we're very happy to now reveal some of the artists heading to our two main dance areas at Leopallooza: The Treeline and The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club (formerly known as the Temple of Boom). Here's who you're getting this year, with many more yet to join the billing...

Roni Size

20 years ago, a Mercury Music Prize win for his ‘New Forms’ album brought Drum and Bass to the very forefront of dance music. In 2017, he toured his groundbreaking new audio-visual live show celebrating this anniversary. Throughout his musical career, he has at each stage created, completely afresh, not just a sound or style but an entire methodology of how music can be made. And he continues to do so today. That man is Roni Size, and he’s coming to Leopallooza XII.

A.Skillz

A true party rocker behind the turntables, A.Skillz captivates crowds with his ability to embrace all aspects of music that he takes inspiration from, and mash them up into a unique cocktail, infused with his own signature flavour of funk. Having clocked up over six million plays on his Soundcloud page, his records have gained support from the biggest names in the industry, from Jazzy Jeff to Pete Tong, Annie Mac to Zane Lowe.

The Nextmen

From the biggest festivals to the biggest clubs, as well as being the go-to party people for the likes of MTV, Cannes Film Festival and even Sir Richard Branson, The Nextmen (aka Brad Baloo and Dom Search) could offer you a musical masterclass in people pleasing but you'd be too busy dancing your ass off to take notes. Producing releases for the likes of Sam Smith, Maverick Sabre, Paulo Nutini and Leona Lewis, as well as working with names such as Rizzle Kicks, Plan B, Public Enemy, Fat Freddy’s Drop and The Pharcyde, and with a No1 podcast on the iTunes chart, they’re a busy duo...

Monki

With a BBC Radio 1 show, her own party brand and a record label, Monki presides over a mini empire, and she has appeared at many of the UK’s most iconic venues as well as commanding the biggest festival stages on a regular basis. A consistent force within the electronic music scene, as well as being a true, passionate music aficionado with seemingly unlimited amounts of natural talent, Monki operates in a class of her own, and has earned her place as of the UK’s most respected selectors.

Marshall Jefferson

He’s one of the founding fathers of house music as it is known today. Born in Chicago in 1959, Marshall Jefferson was a central figure in the development of the Chicago house scene and produced seminal house anthems including ‘Move Your Body’, ‘7 Ways To Jack’ and ‘Open Our Eyes’. He has worked with the very best in the business, from fellow founding father Frankie Knuckles to Roy Davis Jr., Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley, Felix Da Housecat and Lil Louis. We’re so very excited to have such a legend heading to Leopallooza this July...
