the biggest & the bestest
The Clearing is where you’ll find the artists you know, and the artists you will know. The sparkliest of all the musical names have graced our stages here, and this year is no exception, with more top-notch headliners joining the roster. The Clearing is home to our two biggest outdoor stages - the Ade Burt Memorial Stage and the Hero Stage, with music happening throughout the day between the two stages - no awkward interval breaks, just amazing performances from our biggest and best. It’s also home to 3 bars, and our own pizza place. With food and bars galore, you can pick your spot, lay out your picnic blanket and set up camp (figuratively speaking) to catch your favourites.
The Clearing is home to our main stage, the Ade Burt Memorial Stage, where you’ll find the biggest acts of the festival stomping and romping all weekend.
You might be wondering why our main stage is called the Ade Burt Memorial Stage. We renamed it in 2022 when we lost our beloved Technical Director Ade Burt. Ade helped design and build that stage, and he was an amazing friend to Leo whose talent, dedication, skills and dodgy humour helped us grow to the festival we are today. We wouldn’t be what we are now without him. So it felt only right to remember him in the best way we could think of.

Hero Stage
The Clearing is also home to our Hero Stage - named after the Leo heroes who held onto their tickets through the tough times of Covid, and helped us stay afloat. We couldn’t have done it without you total rockstars.
That’s where you’ll find plenty of amazing acts playing, alternating with the acts on the main stage, so you don’t even have to move spots. Magic!

Bars
There are three bars in The Clearing; Main Bar, Tree Bar and Middle Bar, so you shouldn’t ever have to wait for long for your next round of refreshments.
Food
And if you’re getting nibbly, we serve delicious woodfired pizza and tasty tasty fries from Main Bar, so you can top up on some much needed festival carbs to power you through the weekend like a champion.
THE BURNING CAR
What started as the concept for a hazardous early 2000s rock band photoshoot has become a much-loved longstanding tradition in The Clearing. The burning car is (safely) re-ignited every year to keep your hands warm while you listen to the next big thing.
